Ashley and Rapha took many trips to Brazil before Dona Jo opened for business. Ashley was inspired by the vibrant colors, bold patterns and free spirited Brazilian culture. Raphael was excited to start a business in the US, a dream he always had. So, in 2013 out of their 1 bedroom apartment in Pittsburgh, PA they brought their vision of Dona Jo to life.
